Celebrated The 4th
Fireworks, Food and Entertainment to Help Celebrate Nation's Birthday SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment (SSE) in conjunction with the City of Sunrise announced the BankAtlantic Center will host a free 4th of July celebration on Friday, July 4 from 6-10 p.m. Sawgrass Mills will serve as the sponsor of the grand finale fireworks display. Start the day with a patriotic parade lead by grand marshal Stanley C. Panther. This summertime favorite, featuring marching bands and costumed characters, begins at Sunset Strip and NW 12 Street and winds its way west to City Park, 6700 Sunset Strip, in Sunrise. The BankAtlantic Center parking lots will open to the public beginning at 6 p.m.
Festivities include live music featuring two local bands, ‘Nobody’s Fault’ and ‘LoveChild’, food vendors and family entertainment such as a bounce house, face painters, jugglers and much more. The evening will be capped off by a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. “We are pleased to have partnered with the City of Sunrise and the Sawgrass Mills Mall for this fantastic community event,” SSE President/COO Michael Yormark said. “It gives us great pleasure to be able to give back to the Broward community and host a safe evening of family fun and entertainment during the 4th of July holiday.” The Florida Panthers will also be involved with the festivities, as Stanley C. Panther will make an appearance along with Panthers players, the Panthers Bounce House and the inflatable slap shot. The Sziro Jewelry Panthers Ice Dancers will also be in attendance.
